If you are asthmatic or allergy-prone another option you could go for is silk duvet covers. Silk is a natural fibre and soothes the user into a blissful sleep. Though it could cost a little more than the regular cover. it gives an incomparable lavish look to your duvet. It is a good investment considering the anti-allergen effect it gives while also serving all seasons by staying warm in the winters and cool in the summers.
On a lighter note. in the 1990s in the UK. it became fashionable to take a "duvet day." This is kind of like a freebie day for work. If you are allowed one or more duvet days at your job. it means that you can call in as many duvet days as you have and take the day off for no defined reason. These can be taken even if you do not have vacation on the books or even if you are not ill. I always called them "mental health" days. but whatever you call them we need more of them in the States.
Although duvets are each commonly used in European countries. in the United States there still seems to become some confusion as to the difference between a comforter and a duvet and a duvet comforter cover. Many retailers. when promoting a duvet. will indicate that a duvet is to be used to cover a comforter. In essence this is not true. A duvet cover is used to cover a duvet. but some people will use a comforter in place of the duvet. hence the phrase duvet comforter cover.
