Duvets. Thursday , July 19th , 2018 - 06:04:54 AM
On a lighter note. in the 1990s in the UK. it became fashionable to take a "duvet day." This is kind of like a freebie day for work. If you are allowed one or more duvet days at your job. it means that you can call in as many duvet days as you have and take the day off for no defined reason. These can be taken even if you do not have vacation on the books or even if you are not ill. I always called them "mental health" days. but whatever you call them we need more of them in the States.
Duvets are mostly filled with down. cotton. feathers or alternative fills that include synthetic fabrics. silk or wool. While duck down and goose down duvets are seen as rather luxurious. synthetic duvets have been catching up and nowadays can give duck down or goose down a run for their money. Also. if you or your children are prone to allergies. you should opt for duvets that are filled with hypodown or other such anti allergic filling.
Duvet Covers - Why They Keep Gaining in Popularity. Duvet covers have been around for a long time. but most Americans were not aware of them until relatively recently. Through the twentieth century their general acceptance and popularity has gone from obscure to a level where even many husbands know what they are. The development of the duvet will provide a little background to the advantages that duvet covers will bring to your decorating arsenal.
